The line between (The line between #1) By Tamsyn Bester

There’s a fine line between love and hate, so fine that you don’t know you’ve lost balance until it’s too late.

I’m not sure exactly when I lost my balance, all I know is that he was to blame.

Dane Winters.

The boy who’d spent most of his life hating me for reasons I never understood.

** ** ** ** ** **

It was no secret that I hated her, but only I knew why.

She was off-limits.

And then our separate worlds collided with one tragedy.

It wasn’t her fault, I knew that, but I wanted her to hurt the way I did, and I needed someone to blame. She was an easy target.

Kennedy Monroe.

The girl I’d picked on all our lives.

And the woman I barely tolerated.

Until the line between love and hate was no longer visible…

The line between kind of reminded me of another book I've read recently. Similar story line. But, still, I couldn't put the book down. It had so much background story behind it, I found it hard not to.

Dane Winters is a manwhore, a bully and arrogant. He uses his power during her school years too manipulate the people around her to torture her more. Whether it's from breaking up all her relationships or spreading rumors, Dane Winters doesn't have control when it comes to Kennedy. It seems whenever he starts to feel something more towards her, he acts out, in  a bad way. Then college happens and they so happen to be staying right next door to each other and if that wasn't bad enough for Kennedy, their rooms had to be wall to wall.

Kennedy after spending years letting him ruin her life starts to put her foot down. No longer is she the scared, timid Kennedy she was back then. She's been so overcome with grief since losing her brother it had changed her and I will say, I love the new Kennedy.

Their relationship reminds me of a forbidden love because of the war going on between the familys and although I'm still unsure what started it, I think the only reason Dane uses that as an excuse to be her is to fight against his strong feelings.

There is plenty of drama going on in the book, mostly all caused from Dane. One minute he could be a sweet, loving kind of guy and the next a complete A hole.
There is also a scene that had me in tears that I could never have forgiven him for if I had been Kennedy. How she did is still beyond me. I know some people say things out in anger, but he went a little too far. Still, it didn't deter me from what wanting them to be together. I rooted for them from the start and especially when we get to see there secret relationship and how they act around one another. It's so freaking adorable.

I'd recommend this one strongly to other readers.

3.5* (Low rating because of the typos I found in the story. I've read all of Tamsyn's work and this is the first time I've read one with mistakes)

Beneath Your Beautiful By Tamsyn Bester

Beneath your beautiful

On the outside, Huntley Morgan is your typical girl-next-door, with her long blonde hair and piercing blue eyes, and that’s exactly what she wants people to see. Her name exposes her to the demons of her past but remembering her reason for moving across the country to start over is what keeps her alive. For the first time since the brutal murder of her mother, Huntley allows herself to care about the people around her.
Grayson Carter has everything a 21yr old College Senior could wish for – he’s the star of Whitley University’s football team, he has a different girl willing to be in his bed every night and a supportive family. For years he has managed keep his family together and hide their dark secrets from the small town of Breckinridge, Alabama.
When Huntley and Grayson meet, a force so strong pulls them together in a hurricane of feelings neither of them could have ever anticipated. Huntley and Grayson try to stay away from each other, but when Huntley’s demons seek her out, their pasts become the biggest storm of all.
Will they learn to trust each other and build a new future together or will they simply do nothing to prevent history from repeating itself?
