Beneath Your Beautiful By Tamsyn Bester

Beneath your beautiful

On the outside, Huntley Morgan is your typical girl-next-door, with her long blonde hair and piercing blue eyes, and that’s exactly what she wants people to see. Her name exposes her to the demons of her past but remembering her reason for moving across the country to start over is what keeps her alive. For the first time since the brutal murder of her mother, Huntley allows herself to care about the people around her.
Grayson Carter has everything a 21yr old College Senior could wish for – he’s the star of Whitley University’s football team, he has a different girl willing to be in his bed every night and a supportive family. For years he has managed keep his family together and hide their dark secrets from the small town of Breckinridge, Alabama.
When Huntley and Grayson meet, a force so strong pulls them together in a hurricane of feelings neither of them could have ever anticipated. Huntley and Grayson try to stay away from each other, but when Huntley’s demons seek her out, their pasts become the biggest storm of all.
Will they learn to trust each other and build a new future together or will they simply do nothing to prevent history from repeating itself?

Huntley ? what an unusual name. I liked it. It was different.
Like most books we all picture the characters and what they look like and how we picture them in our own minds. This book was brilliant and couldn't have done a better job describing the characters. I could picture them clearly in my head.
Both main characters have had trouble pasts and wanting to forget the emotion they felt. So when the pair grow closer they truly fix each other, It truly heart warming to read. There relationship blossoms through mutual attraction but it becomes more when they see the pain in each others eyes. I was glad there relationship didn't have to many bumps in the road and that the author didn't drag it out. When Rebecca was first mentioned i thought holy hell its one of those. Pretty on the outside, completely ugly on the inside. I dislike girls like her and was glad she wasn't around long.

When Tamysn writes about the domestic violence i thought she wrote it fantastically. To me i think Domestic violence is an important issue to write about. Clearly in this book its between young teenagers and young adults, but it still happens every day. Most people think teenagers are too young for it to be called domestic violence, but its just that its violence.
I liked Demi and i felt so bad for her, no matter what someone does in there own life's, no-one deserves to be brutally hit by the hands of a man.
I also loved her relationship with Brody, i mean come on who wouldn't you could see from the start they had this bond. It was great.

I was unsure about Grayson's troubled past and why he thought Huntley would leave him when she found out his girlfriend cheated and that his sister died. There was nothing there that he did personally for her to dislike him and leave him. Don't get me wrong what happened to him was completely breakable but not in the way he makes it come across in the book. At first i thought he had something to do with his sisters death or his x-girlfriend.

My favorite part of the book was seeing a little bit of there future at the end. How Huntley became part of two families. It was really great to read.

Overall i have to give this book a 4.5 and would recommend it to my followers :)
