Beautiful Sacrifice (The Maddox brothers #3) By Jamie McGuire

Falyn Fairchild can walk away from anything. Already leaving behind her car, her education, and even her parents, the daughter of the next governor of Colorado is back in her hometown, broke and waiting tables for the Bucksaw CafĂ©. After every shift, Falyn adds to her shoebox of cash, hoping to one day save enough to buy her a plane ticket to the only place she can find forgiveness: Eakins, Illinois.

The moment Taylor Maddox is seated in Falyn’s section at the Bucksaw, she knows he’s trouble. Taylor is charming, breaks promises, and gorgeous even when covered in filth—making him everything Falyn believes a hotshot firefighter to be. Falyn isn’t interested in becoming another statistic, and for a Maddox boy, a disinterested girl is the ultimate challenge.

Once Falyn learns where Taylor calls home, everything changes. In the end, Maddox persistence is met with Falyn’s talent for leaving, and for the first time, Taylor may be the one to get burned.

Okay, Maddox brothers???? hot damn. Love them all.

But.....

This book really freaking annoyed me. (will get to that part)

Falyn waits tables at the local cafe, where she basically lives, eats and socializes. She never leaves.
She has secrets, one I didn't understand fully until the end. Falyn needs to go to where Taylor calls home, she makes it sound like she's been trying to get there for a long time, but to me, she could have just gone. The owners of the cafe look to her as a daughter and offered to pay etc, but she held back. But as soon as she finds out where Taylor is from she changes her attitude and starts to give the charming fire fighter a chance.

Taylor, Taylor, Taylor.... I still don't know what to think of him. He's hot, he's funny, arrogant, and a complete ass.
He finds himself drawn to Taylor and at first it's just to get in her pants I think, but then he gets to know her. They start spending time with each other but then he finds something that has to do with Falyn's secret and tells her he will take her home with him.
Which he does....

The secrets was guessable, and I guessed it straight off, but it still made me shed a tear for Talyn and what she had lived with.

Anyway.....

Maybe, kind of, SPOILER ALERTS AHEAD....

When the going gets tough and Tayln asks for some time to think, Taylor does what any red blooded male would do. He runs to the nearest chick and CHEATS!!! Freaking cheats.
After that the book was ruined for me. It really was. Yeah if they were broken up and didn't think they were getting back together I could look past his betrayal, but nuh, huh, he knew.
Not only did he know but he still made her travel to his brothers wedding, where he finally dropped that bombshell. I couldn't believe it. And she stays. Freaking STAYS.

NO MORE SPOILERS

She decides to stay and work it out with him and not long after another BOMB SHELL is dropped on them.

She doesn't really end things with him, she just walks out leaving her phone, and he doesn't even fight for her. THAT really annoyed me too.

Events happen and they are drawn back together, very much in love, and there is a happy ending.
I enjoyed the book, don't get me wrong, it was real, so beyond real. I'm not saying she shouldn't have given him the chance, girls do, I did with an ex partner, but for me, what they had he shouldn't have cheated on her. It killed me that he did and it's not even real LOL

Beautiful Redemption By Jamie McGuire

If A Maddox boy falls in love, he loves forever. But what if he didn't love you, first?

No-nonsense Liis Lindy is an agent of the FBI. Deciding she is married only to her job, she breaks off her engagement and transfers from Chicago to the field office in San Diego. She loves her desk. She is committed to her laptop. She dreams of promotions and shaking hands with the director after cracking an impossible case.

Special Agent in Charge Thomas Maddox is arrogant, unforgiving, and ruthless. He is tasked with putting away some of the world’s toughest criminals, and he is one of the best the Bureau has to offer. Though, as many lives as he’s saved, there is one that is beyond his reach. Younger brother Travis is faced with prison time for his involvement in a basement fire that killed dozens of college students, and the media want a conviction. Travis’s only savior is his unusual tie to the mob. In a deal that will spare his brother, Thomas has agreed to recruit Travis into the FBI.

Liis is stubborn, defiant, and yet somehow softens Thomas’s rough edges, making her the perfect agent to accompany him to the ceremony. Posing as a couple, they must travel to Travis & Abby’s beach vow renewal and give him the news, but when the pretending ends, she finds herself wondering if they were pretending at all.

In the second installment of the Maddox Brothers books, experience firsthand the mysterious world of the elusive Thomas Maddox, and how good love can be when you’re not the first, but the last.

Book two in the Maddox brother series and have to say, I'm soooooo disappointed. I felt like it dragged and Liis repeated herself far too much.
I'd had to do a little catch up with the book before because of the books been published so far apart, or because of the fact I've read a billion in between LOL

Anyway....
She's the new agent who moves to a new town far away from her ex fiance who she didn't even love. She's not your typical girl. She's stubborn, feisty and funny at times. She's also naive when it comes to certain things.
Liis and Thomas end up in bed with each other twenty minutes after meeting each other. The they have a surprise on Liis's second day of starting in her new office..... Thomas is her boss.

As the story involved Travis I had hoped he would have been in it more. He wasn't. I felt like the story dragged trying to get him to stay out of prison and to work undercover for the ending to be over so fast. We don't get to see the takedown, get a full story or anything. It felt completely rushed.

One minute Liis didn't want anything to do with Thomas because he still loved his ex, even though he had told her that he loved her numerous of times. Which kind of annoyed me. Neither were listening and the other thing is where the hell did the love come from??????????????
They barely spoke to each other unless it was at work. I understood they had sexual chemistry but LOVE?? Nope, didn't feel that between um. So was kind of annoyed about it.
I love the Maddox brothers and to me Thomas had always been a mystery.

2.5* I'm hoping the next one will be better. xxx

Beautiful disaster By Jamie McGuire

Suffering from Fifty Shades withdrawal symptoms? Then meet Travis…
Good Girl. Abby Abernathy doesn't drink or swear and she works hard. Abby believes she has created enough distance between her and the darkness of her past, but when she arrives at college, her dreams of a new beginning are quickly challenged by the university's walking one-night stand.
Bad Boy. Travis Maddox, handsome, built, and covered in tattoos, is exactly what Abby needs - and wants - to avoid. He spends his nights winning money in a floating fight club, and his days as the notorious college Lothario.
A disaster waiting to happen…
Intrigued by Abby's resistance to his charms, Travis tricks her into his life with a simple bet. If he loses, he must remain celibate for a month. If Abby loses, she must live in Travis' apartment for the same amount of time.
Or the start of something beautiful?
Either way, Travis has no idea that he has met his match. Or that this is the start of an obsessive, intense relationship that will lead them both into unimaginable territory…

What can I say? This book is freaking amazing. I read it ages ago, but never got around to writing a review as it was before blog posting time LOL

Travis is alpha of all alphas and whores of all whores. He is also loyal, and has a heart of gold. He is such a lovable character. He makes you laugh and at times even makes you sad. What confuses you though you feel like at times you should hate him but you can't hes just that adorable lol

Now Abby on the other hand is a brilliant female lead. She was totally perfect for Travis, and the story line made her perfect for him. She was everything he needed and everything she needed.
The book had me laughing at times, especially when he stands up on the table in a room full of people and starts belting out 'I don't need no satisfaction' I nearly cried with laughter it was that funny.

All in all this book deserves more than a 5* it has you hooked from the first line.

Beautiful Oblivion By Jamie McGuire

The Beautiful Disaster phenomenon continues in the first heart-pounding new adult romance in The Maddox Brothers series.
Fiercely independent Camille "Cami" Camlin gladly moved on from her childhood before it was over. She has held down a job since before she could drive, and moved into her own apartment after her freshman year of college. Now tending bar at The Red Door, Cami doesn't have time for much else besides work and classes, until a trip to see her boyfriend is cancelled, leaving her with her first weekend off in almost a year.
Trenton Maddox was the king of Eastern State University, dating co-eds before he even graduated high school. His friends wanted to be him, and women wanted to tame him, but after a tragic accident turned his world upside down, Trenton leaves campus to come to grips with the crushing guilt.
Eighteen months later, Trenton is living at home with his widower father, and works full-time at a local tattoo parlour to help with the bills. Just when he thinks his life is returning to normal, he notices Cami sitting alone at a table at The Red.
As the baby sister of four rowdy brothers, Cami believes she'll have no problem keeping her new friendship with Trenton Maddox strictly platonic. But when a Maddox boy falls in love, he loves forever - even if she is the only reason their already broken family could fall apart.
In the first instalment of The Maddox Brothers series, readers can experience the rush of reading Beautiful Disaster for the first time, all over again.

Do I really need to write a review about this novel? Hum...... NO!!!
Beautiful Oblivion is absolutely amazing.
It had me laughing so much at times. I really enjoyed it. And don't even get me started on the little girl Trenton brings into the mix. Adorable doesn't cover it.
There were also parts that had me in tears. I couldn't even begin to describe my feelings of the ending.

The chemistry between the two is hot and sweet.
There is also a huge twist that I guessed right away. Secrets ..... secrets .... secrets....

It also answers a lot of unspoken questions from Beautiful Disaster. We get to see what Travis was doing when he wasn't with Pidgeon (LOL) And the tattoo he gets for her.

I honestly would recommend this book to everyone and anyone it is that good.

5* even though it deserves more
