Kincaid (Cerberus MC #1) By Marie James

I am Emmalyn Mikaelson.

My husband, in a rage, hit me in front of the wrong person. Diego, or Kincaid to most, beat the hell out of him for it. I left with Diego anyway. Even though he could turn on me just like my husband did, I knew I had a better chance of survival with Diego. That was until I realized Kincaid could hurt me so much worse than my husband ever could. Physical pain pales in comparison to troubles of the heart.

I am Diego “Kincaid” Anderson.

She was a waitress at a bar in a bad situation. I brought her to my clubhouse because I knew her husband would kill her if I didn’t. Now she has my protection and that of the Cerberus MC. I never expected her to become something more to me. I was in more trouble than I’ve ever been in before, and that’s saying a lot considering I served eight years in the Marine Corp with Special Forces.

This is the kind of MC book I love to read. Ex-Military and hot, tattooed biker. Hot, damn. You can't go wrong, especially when they have morals.

Em is a young girl, in an abusive marriage with no way out. She's tried hiding some tips, but it doesn't end well for her and he ends up finding the money. She knew her time was running out, that the next time he raised his fist he would most likely kill her. She was at a place where she didn't know what to do. I felt so sorry for her and could sympathise with her, and the struggle she faced.

Her and Kincaid's attraction was instant and you could feel it as they looked at each other the second they meet. She's working as a waitress in a bar where Kincaid and his brothers have stopped off at before they head back home the next day. Her husbands eyes are not far from her, but still, she manages to be drawn to the big burly biker, one she knows nothing about.
When he see's the wedding ring he pulls away as married women are off limits to him.
Anyway, he ends up rescuing her from her husband, taking her to a motel. He even stays in a chair, watching out for her all night to make sure she is safe. It's so incredibly sweet.

The book makes it sound like he takes her because he's attracted to her, but hidden beneath those words, you can tell he took her with him because he was a noble man. He knew she needed him and he wanted to help and protect her. And that's what he does. He takes her to the clubhouse, setting her up in his room.

Their attraction may have been fast, but their relationship was anything but. They worked hard at it, together. It's such a beautiful read. But like all other biker books, there is always something lurking in the background, ready to snatch the happiness away. The suspense and drama really added to the book. I also loved all the secondary characters and can honestly say, I'll be following this MC series. Loved it.

Marek (Knights Corruption MC #1) By S.Nelson

With the weight of the club on his shoulders, Cole Marek, president of the Knights Corruption MC, had only one choice:

Turn their livelihood legit.

Everything was falling into place until one unexpected, fateful night. With an attack on his fellow brothers, Marek had no choice but to retaliate against their sworn enemy.

The Savage Reapers.

Swarming their compound, he comes face-to-face with the infamous daughter of his rival club, making an astonishing decision which would change his life forever.

She was the enemy.

She was the prize.

She was a game changer.

Sully Brooks led a desolate life, her entire existence dictated first by her father, then by the man who’d claimed her when she was only fourteen. Years of abuse shaped her into the woman she became, but she longed for something more. Craving an existence where she was free to live a life of simplicity, she wanted release from the harsh realities she’d known since childhood.

Will her prayers be answered when the enemy strikes?

I'm literally struggling on how to explain this book, so I hope I manage to explain it the best I can, so you understand. I'll probably ramble a bit so bare with me.

Marek is the president of the Knights MC and he wants to turn their lively hood legit. Yes, legit.
To me, it felt like the author wanted Marek and his brothers to come across noble, but with a roughness only an outlaw can only inspire. As much as I would love to say the author pulled this off, I can't.
Marek and his brothers were... unhinged? I don't know how to explain it. They wanted everyone to know how much they didn't give a fuck and how bad they were, but sounded like complete dicks. Sorry, but they did. They were always trying to get the upper hand, putting themselves on a peddle-stall. As much as they wanted to clean their act together, they needed to clean up their attitude more.

"She's my wife, it's her duty to give it up" .... things like this were constantly coming out of his mouth and it made me sick. Especially since he supposedly didn't condone rape etc.

(More on this subject below, let me explain a little about Sully, the main female heroine.)

Sully has been raised by a rival MC, one that makes the worst criminals look like mikey blooming mouse. Seriously, they were disgusting, degrading, vile, and made me throw up in my mouth sick.
She was not only raped by her father for most her life, but he then gave her away to a club member, one who was simply crazy. Crazy in, off his bloody rocker, crazy. Now, the author did these characters justice. She wanted sick and twisted, she got it. She wrote it to the point, I gagged. Anyway, not only does she lived a life with this brother, repeatedly beaten, raped, and degraded.
She explains some of the things that happened to her by his hands to Marek in this book, and I literally had to skip it because it got too much for me and I've read some dark shit. It broke my heart knowing she went through it with him.
The only serious, detailed to the point I had to skim through it, was a rape scene where her dad and partner pass her off to a client unwillingly. It's near the beginning of the book, so if your sensitive like I am, I'd recommend skipping it.

Now, Sully is kidnapped by Marek and although she doesn't see it as a blessing, it truly is compared to what she was living with day in and day out. At the time though, she's scared, she's worried and she's waiting for them to strike her, to rape her every moment.
Marek does nothing to reassure her. No, the fucker marry's her instead for payback. She's forced into something else, another choice taken away from her.

Back to what I was saying above about Marek and his little comments. They seem to become closer as the book progresses and although they spend little time together you can feel the connection between the two. But he ruins it by his bloody mouth.

After (insert sexual activity) to Sully, he has the nerve to be angry when she won't have sex with him. He's like, oh, you'll let me.... but you won't return the favour?
He gets so mad at her. I mean, literally, crazy mad and he does this even knowing everything she had been through.

If the character Marek had been more of a better character I would have enjoyed this book more and loved them together. But, after finishing it, I still don't feel like Sully is getting the ending she deserves. He may love her, but he loves himself more.

Drifter (MC Sinners Next Generation #2) By Bella Jewel

They say opposites attract. In my world that isn’t a good thing.
I did everything I could to escape the grips of motorcycle club I grew up in when I turned twenty-one.
It wasn’t about fear, or betrayal, or even lack of love. I just needed my own life.
I had to know how it felt to stand on my own two feet without their protection.
Then I met Diesel. Mysterious, dark, with eyes that screamed to be understood.
From the second I met him, I knew I needed to be in his life.
There’s just one problem – he’s a member of a different motorcycle club.
Two things that should never be combined. Yet I can’t stay away.
No matter how hard he pushes. I can see beyond his mask.
I need to know who he is and I’ll overcome any obstacle to be in his life.
A friendship is born, followed by an epic love.
Our relationship is forbidden.
But I’ll do anything to be in his life.
Anything.

I was meant to receive this as an ARC, but it never came through, but even still, I would have bought it. If I enjoy an ARC I always buy the book afterwards to support authors. So I bought it, not wanting to wait a moment longer than I needed to and I'm so glad I did.

Diesel is Jayla and Mack's son from Joker's Wrath and Mercedes is Ciara and Spikes daughter from the Knight Sinners.

OMG I loved this book. I read book one with Anna's kidnapping and although I loved the book I was on the fence about her reactions afterwards. Her addictions seemed out of the norm and taken to extremes for such a little amount of time.
Going off track.....
But Bella made it up and more bringing us Drifter. I've always wanted to know what became of the MC after everything that happened in the last Joker's Wrath MC novel, and I'm so glad we get to see them all happy, even with parts missing.

Mercedes moves away to college, wanting to find her own identity without having being known as the MC's daughter. She wanted to make friends, fall in love and get a career.
Before she goes off to college though she attends a concert where she meets Diesel. He's so rude, so obnoxious to her, but then gives her the kiss to end all kisses.

When she bumps into him at college and he doesn't remember her, she is pissed and hurt. She doesn't understand the true meaning of why, only knows that she can't stop thinking of him and his rejection of her hurt.

It's how she makes enemy number one. Diesel's girlfriend, Maxine. His obvious hidden attraction to Mercedes drives Maxine to bully her. But Mercedes, havin' grown up a MC brat takes shit from no one and gives back as good as she gets. I loved that about her. How she stood up for herself but wasn't a hard person. She was still kind, caring, sensitive to others, and soft.
Mercedes has her doubts about Maxine and Diesels relationship and even questions him once about it, saying there's more to why he stays with her. He never denies it but it's never brought up really again.

Anyway, life for Mercedes is hard, but she doesn't let it get her down. She befriends Diesel, even after he tries hard to push her away.
It was cute getting her to get him to laugh. I've never gushed over a love story like I have there's. It was incredible. I felt like I was experiencing everything with them.

I'm not going to go into much more, because Bella's work speaks for itself. Not one have I disliked. I will say though, seeing two, well three MC's coming together was so weird. Even when it was the Hell Knights and Heaven Sinners, it was weird, but they came together as a family. Seeing Jokers Wrath joining forces was just epic. I wish we had more from there travels. (You'll understand once you've read it)

I can't wait to read more from the next generation. Their stories are showing to be epic.
Diesel's and Mercedes romance is one of a kind and I've got to admit, this book hit my second favourite read this year. Just writing this review is making me want to read it again.

Out of the Ashes (The Sons of Templar MC #3) By Anne Malcom

Living a life in darkness causes the soul to char to ash. Battling demons by turning himself into a monster is the only way he can survive...the only way he can keep a grip on sanity. That grip is precarious at best, every day is a silent battle with demons that threaten to yank him into the truest form of darkness, the abyss he’ll never escape. Then it happens. Light shines through the cracks.

Happiness. Mia Spencer’s life is full of it. She has an amazing new job, friends, family, and the light of her life - her daughter Lexie. Running from the demons of the past, escaping a hell that she vowed Lexie would never know about, she worked through hardship and near poverty to create something she was proud of. Buried deep inside, underneath the swell of love she had for her only daughter, were the fractured pieces of her. Pieces that were smashed and battered when she was young and vulnerable.

Then she meets Bull, who seems to hate her on sight. He screams danger, from his huge physique, to his beautiful ink, to the motorcycle club he belongs to. He is silent, his glares threaten to burn her into flames, yet she finds herself falling for him. Finds this broken man slowly fixing the pieces she thought would stay shattered forever.

Anne Malcom has proved herself with this book. You can tell she had been giving this book a lot of thought, just like she had the others, but this one was just off the charts.
I've loved Bull from the first book and have continued to love the broody character throughout. There's just something about his pain, his attitude that I wanted to see made right.

Mia moves in to town with her daughter Lexi and it's obvious from the get go she has secrets.
Her relationship with her daughter is beyond funny. They're more like best friends. It reminded me of how I was with my mom. I could talk to her about anything, say anything, and have a laugh. It was great. All daughter, mother friendships should have their connection.
But their banter, their teasing and personalities is what made the book a 5* for me. They were so bubbly, so full of light that it was hard not to smile through the book.

Mia's attraction to the broody biker is instant, the same with him. Although he does nothing but narrow his eyes, glare at her, you can tell he returns that attraction.

They're weird relationship starts from him changing her tire. Mia and Lexi are arguing about what to do when he walks over and starts to change it. Shocking both girls. It's Lexi that snaps out of it first, and befriends the biker. She befriends him so much, it starts getting reactions from Bull. We see him want life again. You can tell he adores the girl right off, although he hides it well.

The story continues, and it just gets better. Bull has to fight his fears more than once during the book and each and every time my heart breaks for not only him, but for Mia too.

Without a doubt this book was a 5* for me and I'll be reading it over and over. Make sure you check out the series yourselves and let me know your thoughts on it. I know others may agree, some disagree, but the series is a worth a look and you will love the characters as much as me.

Firestorm (The sons of Templar MC #2) By Anne Malcom

Amy Abrams doesn’t do love. Nor does she do emotional attachments, unless you count the connection she has with designer handbags. She grew up in an Upper East Side penthouse, which had about as much affection within its tastefully decorated walls as Castle Dracula. Her family is the precise reason why she points her red-soled heels firmly in the opposite direction of that dreaded four-letter word.

Then it happens. Love. It comes right out of the blue and knocks her off her six-inch heels. She learns that love comes with pesky side effects such as heartbreak, which seriously messes with the complexion. Amy promises herself that she’ll never open herself to that horrible feeling again. She doesn’t count on an infuriating, albeit drool-worthy biker to roar into her life and ruin the plans she had of locking up her heart. She keeps her distance, wary of the sinfully sexy biker whose tattoos should read Warning - dangerous alpha male, will screw up your life.

Amy may be an Upper East Side princess but she wasn’t looking for Prince Charming. She wouldn’t mind the name of his hair stylist, though. Brock certainly isn’t a knight in shining armor, but he consumes her, body and soul. Drama pulls them apart; danger will bring them back together. When Amy is threatened Brock is there ready to save her life. Her heart is another story.

This book gutted me. I'd been looking forward to it. I literally started it straight after reading the first, but I have to say it did disappoint a little. I found it dragged and was a little boring in places. But that is just me. It could be due to the fact I did read them one after the other, I don't know.

Amy, the serious, funny, sassy best friend of Gwen's has a hard choice to make. In the first book we see a dilemma between Gwen's brother, Ian and Brock. Both badasses in their own way but on different sides of the law.
Amy loved Ian fiercely, but he chose leaving, going back to war over her and told her she didn't matter, pushing her away. He didn't want her to wait. But then he comes back as you know and it all ends in disaster.
The first books ends with us not knowing who she chose, but deep down I always knew who it was going to be.

I also understood her decision in not saying anything to Brock, or to Gwen. She didn't want anyone hurt and felt like she was betraying them in some way. She did what she thought was expected of her and ends up getting kidnapped by one of her fathers associates.

It then flickers back and forth between the present and the past and it was kind of annoying. I felt like I had gotten the gist of what Amy's and Brocks relationship was like. It felt like I was reading the first book all over again. Another reason I think I found it so boring at times.

I was happy when it stayed in the present. As always, Brock doesn't let his woman out of his sight. He's another 'you're mine' alpha male. But poor Brock has his hands full with the sassy woman, because she fights back.

Making the cut (The Sons of Templar MC #1) By Anne Malcom

Gwen Alexandra does not need a man in her life. Especially not a man who looks like Chris Hemsworth and Joe Manganiello's love child. One wearing leather, riding a Harley, and covered in tattoos.

Gwen can bet every pair of her Manolo's that Cade Fletcher is trouble. From the moment she meets him, the attraction sizzles between them. Gwen has a problem when it comes to attractive men in motorcycle clubs. The last one she got involved with almost killed her.

After healing physically, Gwen decides to get a new start in a small town, half a country away from the man who nearly cost her her life. She isn't in town five minutes when she runs into Cade, a man that is too sexy and dangerous for his own good.

She tries to keep away from him, to ignore the attraction between them. But the biker has other ideas, soon she is in way over her head, and her heart, and her life are in danger once again.

This is the first book ever that I've read of Anne Malcom's. I'm usually unsure about reading new authors work without having some sort of recommendation, but I'm so glad I went in blind.
Yes I found some faults with the book, but just a few blips here and there, nothing major. And the only POV I had a problem reading was Cades. But I think the male POV is harder for a female anyway. She truly is talented and I'm following this series like a stalker, but I do recommend a better editor. I think this is what rated the book a 4* for me.

Gwen is such a strong character. After everything she's been through you would have thought that to be impossible. But she is and she's determined to make a fresh start, a new beginning and move on from her fear.

The book starts with a past scene from Gwen, what happens to her, and why she leaves. Its also the reason she's petrified of men, mostly bikers. But when she meets Cade, the only thing she feels is lust.

I loved seeing the two get together. A little bit quick for my liking, but it worked. It was literally 'You're mine' the second he sees her and for someone like Gwen, I think he needed to slow down.
There's  a lot of drama going on between the characters, a lot of action going on all around. It keeps you on your toes.

Secondary characters in the book become my favourite. Bull is my favourite. I freaking love him. But more to come on him. Promise.
I also loved Amy, Gwen's BFF and all the girls from the MC that they befriend. Amy and Gwen have a tight friendship and the author really captures that. They're loyal, funny and sassy when they're together.

Angels Halo: Reclaimed (Angels Halo MC #4) By Terri Anne Browning

Felicity Bolton finally feels like she has moved on with her life. She misses her friends and family back in Creswell Springs, but now she has new friends—a new family. She has found the peace that she lost the night she lost her unborn child. She would do anything to protect her newfound family, even if that meant facing the devil himself.

The minute Jet Hannigan walks back into her life that’s exactly what she has to do.

Jet Hannigan is officially a free man. With his parole lifted he can finally do what he's been aching to do, go after the only woman who will ever own his heart. He's known where she is for months and has been impatiently waiting for the day he could reclaim her. What he wasn't expecting was to have to pull out the big guns and blackmail her into returning to Creswell Springs with him. With everything going on with Flick's boss, and the media circus surrounding the chaos, Jet thought the safest place for her was home where he and his brothers could protect her.

Instead he brings her home to a war zone.

I feel like I've been waiting for this book forever.

First off I want to comment on Jet. He's been in prison for killing his best friend, his VP for killing his unborn child. What I didn't like was the fact this wasn't commented more on. I wanted to know what happened, why he hurt Flick in the first place. I felt like the book needed that. Maybe as the prologue? A flash back? I don't know.
The other thing was in the other books I pictured Jet as this mean ass man who doesn't give a shit about anyone or anything other than his sister. It wasn't the case. He cares deeply for all of them, not just the MC. And the fact he kept out of the MC for Flick was just more proof of how much he cared about her.

Flick, I think is great and her time away helped her more than she realised. Her story is sad and when Jet forces her hand back into the MC I actually feel sorry for her, but then seeing her with them I realise it's where she needs to be and Jet knew that deep down.

I loved it. I had issues, yes, but it didn't draw me away from the story and the characters.

Steel my heart (Sons of Steel MC #1) By Vivian Lux

Emmy believes it when people tell her she is lucky. She has a charmed life, living in her 20th story penthouse with the gorgeous and fantastically wealthy Robert Whitestone III. She believes she should be grateful that a man like him chose a shy, curvy girl like her to be his wife.

And when he hurts her, she believes she deserves it

Meeting J. and the rest of the Sons of Steel Motorcycle Club shakes the very foundations of Emmy's fragile life. The lies she told herself to survive crumble against the weight of J.'s bruising kisses.

His love teaches her that some things are worth fighting for.

And when the gathering forces of J.'s past, the threat of a new MC, and Robert himself converge on Emmy's new love, she is finally ready to fight back.

I have mixed feelings about this book. As someone who has been in a domestic relationship, I can relate to Emmy. But..... although the emotional abuse, Emmy was sure she didn't want to be in that relationship. Drunk she admitted she wanted out. Even before she knew deep down she wanted out. She was basically using Robert for his wealth to keep her. That's how it came across one minute but then the next it was because she blamed herself for not being perfect enough.

When she meets J, she feels like she is finally herself. But then she goes back to Robert, facing horrible consequences of her drunken night. Even though it's obvious he has been cheating on her for awhile.

That's when she turns to J. The member of a local MC who has just been released from jail.

The story is short, and although I enjoyed reading it, to me it missed something other MC books have. It needed more.
I was also confused on who was coloured and who wasn't during the book. It took time but I finally got there. There's some racial comments made towards J, but I swore the president was coloured also. But I'm still unsure about him.

All the characters I loved and each secondary character seemed to have their own stories to tell. As I bought the box set for 99p I will read the rest one day.

As for the story it seemed rushed, especially towards the end. It didn't have that boom that normal MC books give me. I wanted justice for Emmy and I wanted justice for J. I also wanted to meet his family, and the man who's responsible for J spending so many years in prison while his friend was living free.

I did find out that the next book in the series is also about the couple, and they break up. Break Up!!!!!! Seriously.... They just got together. How could they possibly be breaking up already. After everything they've been through as well....

Pandemonium (MC Sinners Next Generation Book One) By Bella Jewel

I am the good girl, the one who does no wrong.
Daughter to a ferocious and strong MC President, I know what protection feels like.
Until one night changes everything - and not a single person in the world can protect me from it, not even my dad.
Suffocating. Alone. Desperate.
I let my problems live deep inside until there is no longer anywhere to run.
I need an escape. Anything to make the pain go away.
Trouble comes for me, and I don't fight it.
I tried so hard to believe in what I was,
But nobody understood.
Not until him. Not until Lucas.
He sees me. He believes in me.
He refuses to let me drown.
He’s my way out. My escape.
But Lucas is forbidden. He’s a cop. I’m in danger. And my father is trying to protect what can’t be protected.
There can only be one outcome.
Pandemonium.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Now you guys know how much I love Bella Jewel and her MC series. But this one.... This one is going to blow you mind. I didn't even finish the first chapter before I became hooked.
It will literally blow your mind.

Ava is the daughter of the president of MC Sinners, you remember Serenity and Jackson, right?
He's more protective, more fierce and now a father. One who gets caught up in the middle of MC war. Or.... Cartel war. I'm still unsure of all that to be honest. LOL Still, I LOVED the book.

And Lucas.... I LOVED Lucas. Can you say doppelganger and send me him.
He's really broody, and has every reason to be. He's been through more than anyone person should. It broke my heart because I could feel everything he felt.
The story is written in Ava's POV of present, and Lucas's past POV, and the two POV's end up meeting together.
It's brilliantly written and well thought out. I couldn't have asked to read a better start to a series. Bella Jewel has some work cut out for her to beat this one, but we all know she will. :)

The book is everything Bella Jewel and you will love the new generation series. The only one fault I had, but it's nothing to do with Bella's writing, was Ava's addiction to drink and drugs. She didn't seem like the person to become addicted, to depend on something that could hurt her long term. That part of her character I disliked.
But how she found the strength to pull through, to pull herself out, that was incredible to read. Most people don't realise how easy it is to become reliant on something some people can give or take. But it's the struggle those go through to come off that poison that is the hardest. You have to find the strength inside you that you never thought you had and fight every second, every minute, every day. It's about determination, and although some can stand up and say, I'd never get addicted, some people don't have that luxury and reading Ava pull herself out of that was pretty freaking amazing.

Amazing 5 freaking stars *****

Persuasion By Violetta Rand

Lang Anderson may be the new leader of the Sons of Odin motorcycle club, but his personal life is in shreds. He’s struggling to take care of his three young sisters in the wake of tragedy, while rumors of drug dealing within his ranks jeopardize everything he’s built. The last thing he needs is another distraction—like a bar brawl over a woman—but Lang is a sucker for a damsel in distress. And this one gets him roaring like a finely tuned engine.

High school guidance counselor Lily Gallo is no fender bunny. So why can’t she get Lang off her mind? Lily’s head says the rugged, rough-and-tumble biker who came to her aid is bad news. Her body begs to differ. But when Lang’s troubled kid sister walks into her office, Lily’s determined to help, even if it puts her in the crossfire of a gang war. On a crash course with danger and desire, Lily partners up with Lang to fight for his family—and for love.

Lang is the new leaders of the Sons of Odin. He's been looking after his three sister after he lost his parents.
The club isn't the normal MC club that we normally read about. There isn't any of that angst drama. It made the book dull in places.
Lily on the other hand is the complete opposite to Lang and hasn't seen the life he has. She knows next to nothing about the real world around her, and was quite naive at times.
When she finds out she's the counselor to Lang's eldest sister, she feels determined to help. Whether it's to continue seeing Lang again. I don't know.

I enjoyed the book, but it wasn't the best MC book and I found the writing lacked somewhat.
I think it's because there's such a huge variety of MC books, it's hard to compete. You really have to push yourself.

Hiding Out (Hawks MC: Caroline Springs Charter #2) By Lila Rose

What do you do when someone you trust threatens to sell you into slavery? Find the perfect place to hide out.

Destitute and apathetic from the loss of her parents, Willow Demora is forced to accept any help thrown her way. Unfortunately, the only person willing to help is her cousin, a cousin who doesn't have a good bone in his body, and would do anything to stay out of the trouble he's in.

Hawks MC enforcer, Trey “Dodge” Monroe is a renowned hard-arse, now living in Caroline Springs. There are only a few brothers he trusts with his life. The rest have to gain his respect while they learn not to screw with him, especially when he finds Willow and discovers he’s willing to do anything he can to save her.

Even if it means he gives up his man-card, like the other love-sick members he's laughed at in the past, he’s ready to give it all.

I received an ARC of Hiding out in exchange for an honest review.....

My God, Lila Rose get's better and better with each book. I'm not even kidding. I absolutely fell in love with Dodge. Behind all that hard ass exterior, he's one loyal, loveable character. I freaking loved him.

Willow, is a whole new character all on her own. She has her own kind of sass, and is not afraid of Dodge like many others are.
When she's forced to run from her own family she ends up in the garage of the MC.
Her life has been hard. She's not had much luck when it comes to family, so being accepted into Hawks so easily and treated like family was really hard on her.
She heard their stories and felt their pain and didn't want to trouble them. Not when they've just got their lives back together. But what Willow doesn't know is, once Hawks takes you in, there's no way out.

We also see a lot of the Hawks characters. Julian being one of them. But also, the other Hawks MC members that have moved to Caroline Springs. Lila splitting up the MC has made it all the more interesting.

I'm also looking forward to Saxon and Narys book. I have been since we met them both in Stokes book. I hope we hear more about the aftermath of the shooting. I want to read the angst there that Saxon and all of them went through. How they kept themselves together.
They're relationship is mentioned a few times during the book and it's made me more and more interested. I love them both, but there's a deeper reason as to why Saxon won't date Nary and I don't think it has anything to do with Stoke.

I did feel the ending was a little rushed, but I expect we'll see more of the characters and story line in other books to come. Lila has a way of making you crave the next book in the series. I cannot wait to read the next book in the new spin off series.

Don't miss out on this series. Holding Out is the first book in the series where we meet most of the characters.
I don't think anyone could beat this series.
I don't mind the usual rugged biker, who deal guns and drugs, but to me, they've got no sense of respect like the Hawks MC.

Hawks MC is literally about BROTHERHOOD, loyalty, family, and protecting those dearest to them. Lila can honestly make the same rugged character, who kills to protect, has had a dark past or s***ty hand in life, and give them a whole Hero persona. She's really gifted at what she does and I respect her a hell of a lot for what she brings to life for us readers.
Truly amazing.

Merry Blissmas (Biker bitches #3) By Jamie Begley

Naughty
What can I say? I’m not a nice person. When I walk by, people call me a slut, and I’m okay with that. I believe in calling a spade a spade. I am a slut.

With the holidays approaching, I miss belonging to The Last Riders. Drake’s keeping me warm, but he wants more than I can give. He wants me to trust him, to believe he can protect me. Doesn’t he know Santa put me on the Naughty List long ago?

Nice
What can I say? I’m a nice guy and have always done the responsible thing.

Bliss is everything I shouldn’t want, but it’s hard to resist a woman who stopped believing in miracles. She wants to be back with The Last Riders, whom she considers her true family. Doesn’t she know it’s Christmas, and miracles do happen?

As much as I hated Bliss in the other Last Rider novels, I knew this book would be good.
We get to see Bliss differently. Not as the bitch everyone sees her as. She is actually pretty awesome and her heart is huge. We also finally understand her fixation on Shade, and it isn't what we all believed it to be.
Her past defined her, a lot. She wouldn't be who she was if it wasn't for her upbringing. How she survived, or lived through any of what she lived, is shocking. No wonder she was the way she was.

Not only that, but my God, Drake is hotter than he was made out to be in the other books. Not only that but the Porters are also crazy LOL This novel proved that. I loved their humor, and Drake's domineering personality. He was so goddamn sexy it drove me insane.
I honestly don't think Jamie can go wrong with her books LOL

The only downfall was the ending. I would have liked to see more of Bliss as the person she was towards the end of the book. I found she had become who she really was the one. Throughout the book she always held back. Up until the end. I just wish it was longer.
I would have also liked to have seen more come of Drake's ex wife. Seen her stir some trouble. Or what not. But after a stern warning, we never see her again. It was a shame. She had the potential to make the book more interesting.

I cannot wait to read more from her. She did Bliss proud.
So I will say, don't let Bliss' actions from previous books prevent you from reading Merry Blissmas. I know a lot of readers said they didn't like her enough to read her book. That what she did was unforgiveable. But in a way, I think Bliss redeems herself. It also helps us understand her more.
More importantly, it shows the loyalty the Last Riders have to one of their own. Even if she was kicked out.

Walk through Fire (The Chaos Series Book 4) By Kristen Ashley

Millie Cross knows what it's like to burn for someone. She was young and wild and he was fierce and even wilder-a Chaos biker who made her heart pound. They fell in love at first sight and life was good, until she learned she couldn't be the woman he needed and made it so he had no choice but to walk away. Twenty years later, Millie's chance run-in with her old flame sparks a desire she just can't ignore. And this time, she won't let him ride off . . .

Bad boy Logan "High" Judd has seen his share of troubles with the law. Yet it was a beautiful woman who broke him. After ending a loveless marriage, High is shocked when his true love walks back into his life. Millie is still gorgeous, but she's just a ghost of her former self. High's intrigued at the change, but her betrayal cut him deep-and he doesn't want to get burned again. As High sinks into meting out vengeance for Millie's betrayal, he'll break all over again when he realizes just how Millie walked through fire for her man . . .

This story is beyond anything I had believed it would be....
So many people have commented on KA's work not being the same, and I have to agree. But Walk through Fire is just what we expect from KA. It was brilliant and exciting read.

Yeah, I was annoyed at how High treated her. Never asking her questions or wanting answers. And I found myself annoyed with Millie too. She was letting him punish her for something that didn't deserve to be punished. In the end Millie gave him the world.

Millie and High fell in love at such a young age and straight away. They were inseparable. He was her first and only everything.
When something unexpected comes to life for Millie she breaks things off and breaks High's heart, knowing it was the only way he would leave. But to me, High didn't fight for her. He should have. That was another thing that annoyed me.

Years, and I mean, years later they both end up back in each others lives and High isn't happy. He wants to get revenge, destroy Millie. But what he doesn't realize is, is that Millie has been destroying herself for years already. She hasn't let herself live since she let High walk out their life.

All together the story was great. Loved it. And feel like we've got our KA back. Can't wait to read more from the series.

The Secrets out (Hawks MC #1: Caroline Springs Charter) By Lila Rose

LINK COMING SOON

Moving to Melbourne for university, Josie Alexander knew the transition would be hard. She didn’t realise just how difficult it’d be until things turn ugly. Damaged by a past that leaves her struggling with physical contact, her brave move to start afresh, soon turns into a nightmare.

Afraid and vulnerable, Josie’s fragile independence threatens to unravel around her. That is until the two men who refuse to leave her thoughts show up in Melbourne.

Caden Adams, “Pick” to his biker brethren, has had a hard life. His only light is Josie, who he loses when she leaves Ballarat for Melbourne. Dealing with day to day life without his heart is hard, especially with the darkness threatening to consume him. When MC President, Talon, informs him that Josie’s in trouble, he’s determined to make sure he’s there to protect her. Only, he won’t be doing it alone.

Eli “Billy the Kid” Walker has never experienced love, not even from those who should have cared the most. Only Josie and Caden have ever come close to infiltrating his hardened heart. With Josie gone, he pushes Caden away, unwilling to take a risk, even if it’s something he wants.

When given with the opportunity to prove to each other how they really feel, will they all be able to have the courage to fight for what their hearts desire? Above all else, will they survive the fallout when their secret’s out?

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Josie is the girl the Hawk MC rescued from Zara's ex husband, who abused Josie and made her call him Daddy.

Very disturbing.

Josie still isn't over the time spent with him, and although I would have liked more about the time before her time with him, it didn't ruin the flow. She's very shy, timid, and scared at a simple touch, more when it's male. She's also very strong, independent and when everything is done and settled she's a little minx. I loved her character.

So when she moves off to college, her roommate motivates her to move forward, to live. But when that turns into her dating, and it turning on her, she's then forced to live a year in hell. Where Cameron, the lad she was dating starts tormenting her, scaring her, stalking her, but it's not only him, but all of his friends as well.

Insert HAWKS finest, Billy and Pick, AKA Eli and Caden. Caden has his own dark past, which broke my heart. He's got such a huge one, and now I can understand why he did what he did in book one. I always wanted to understand him more, and now I do. Still, with everything that happened to him, he still made room for love. And LOVE he did.

Eli on the other hand is complete opposite to Caden. He's hot headed, short tempered, and loves to party.

Lila still keeps her humor in the book, but I have to admit, this one is different from all of the other books. The emotion throughout the book is strong, and during the end, it explodes and you'll be ugly crying.
Yes, UGLY crying.

I wasn't sure how Lila was going to pull this off when I first read she was writing a book with the three of them. I thought, Oh no, this is going to end badly and one is going to get hurt. Never did I realize, the three loved each other impeccably. It wasn't just their love for Josie or her love for them, but their love for each other. It was strong, it was true, and it couldn't be broken or torn a part.

There is a few HUGE twists in the story that I never saw coming that had me jumping in my seat. Nothing, and I mean nothing, to me, could beat Lila's Hawks MC. Her talent for writing is truly a gift and I will never get bored of reading her work.
Every person has different tastes, different genre they prefer to read, but to me Lila brings out everything I love in a book.
I can't wait to read more in the series, and check out the new subtitle. It looks like we'll be seeing more from the Caroline Springs charter. I just hope we get to see the old characters. I'm really looking forward to Saxon's book, especially after reading this beauty.

5 amazing, flipping stars.

Lila Rose, I say this from the bottom of my heart, be proud of your work. Good or bad reviews, know, that your work is worth reading, your stories are worth telling, and that your giving readers a gift with each book you publish. Keep up the good work. xx
