Matchmaker's playbook (Wingman INC. #1) By Rachel Van Dyken

Wingman rule number one: don’t fall for a client.
After a career-ending accident, former NFL recruit Ian Hunter is back on campus—and he’s ready to get his new game on. As one of the masterminds behind Wingmen, Inc., a successful and secretive word-of-mouth dating service, he’s putting his extensive skills with women to work for the lovelorn. But when Blake Olson requests the services of Wingmen, Inc., Ian may have landed his most hopeless client yet.
From her frumpy athletic gear to her unfortunate choice of footwear, Blake is going to need a miracle if she wants to land her crush. At least with a professional matchmaker by her side she has a fighting chance. Ian knows that his advice and a makeover can turn Blake into another successful match. But as Blake begins the transformation from hot mess to smokin’ hot, Ian realizes he’s in danger of breaking his cardinal rule…

WOW!!!
Couldn't put this book down for the life of me. It had me gripped from the beginning. Ian is so self assured, so cocky, charming, loving, funny and did I mention cocky? He's also hot as hell!!!
His attitude from the very beginning had me gripped. Usually, I think characters like Ian are DICKS, but he wasn't actually a dick about what he did.
You see, Ian runs a dating company so to speak. He gives girls that are shy, lacking, self concious and gives them everything they need to get them the man they are in love with.
His reasons aren't because he thinks he's all it and knows it all but because his sister had a chance of being with someone she loved but because of her shyness and feeling she wasn't worth it, she settled. She settled into a loveless marriage and the boy she was once in love with is a upcoming star in football or something. He also felt the same way about her.

So, income Blake. Not only is she roommates with Ian's best friend, but she's also his new client, one that doesn't fall over herself to get his attention and certainly doesn't take his shit.

The two, straight off the bat where hilarious together. I've never laughed so much in my life at the banter between the two. When he helps her, he helps her LOL

I also loved the secondary characters, Gabi and Lex, they're like two bombs about to explode when they're in a room together. It makes me want to know whether they kill each other or rip each others clothes off. LOL

5*
