Dare to Love (Maxwell Series #3) By SB Alexander

Women want him. Guys want to be him.

Sexy, confident, college playboy, Kelton Maxwell has his future right in the palm of his hands. He’s got one foot in the door at Harvard Law. All he needs now is one prestigious internship at a highfalutin law firm to seal the deal. Nothing can stand in his way.
Until...
A blast from the past smacks him right in the face, bringing back memories he tried to forget. Kelton swore he’d never go back--never put himself through that again. He’d rather pledge his allegiance to the devil himself before he drops to his knees to worship a woman--especially her.
He won’t dare to get close.
Won’t dare to let her in.
Can’t dare to love.

Dare to love was given to me by ARC in exchange for an honest review.

After reading Dare to kiss I never thought SB Alexander could top the novel with another. But she has. Over and over. Dare to love was just another remarkable read.

It took me a few chapters to get into it but I honestly believe that was my fault and not the authors. Once I properly settled down and got into it, I couldn't put it down until I finished.
I've always loved Kelton. He's been one of my favourites from the beginning but seeing this side to him was brilliant.
He's not just the teasing playboy we've all come to know and love. There's more to him than most realise. He's also been carrying a lot on his shoulders, shouldering the blame of his sisters death. He also has a vulnerable side he doesn't let people see. And Lizzie brought that side out of him and more.
What got me the most though was the way he was with Lizzie. Their relationship is kind of forbidden. There were times when I thought, how will they move past it? How can they be in a relationship after everything each represent.

She was a huge part of his childhood, his first love, but also a reminder of everything he lost.
We all know from previous books that the Maxwells lost their little sister tragically. But what you don't know is Lizzies story and how her life has mapped out.
I truly felt for her. She's such a strong character that you can't help but love her. I also loved her sassy attitude, her strong personality and the fact she gave as good as she got when it came to Kelton.

The story is brilliant. For two childhood sweethearts to carry that love for as long as they did is inspiring and so beautiful. It made my heart melt for them. I really wanted them to be together. They fight so hard against their attraction that they waste more time being together.

The secondary characters in this book are hilarious and so fun to read about. Dillion who takes a liking to Lizzie and helps her has me so intrigued. He obviously has a story of his own. He's searching for his sister and in his quest to find her, he's been helping young girls who are selling themselves or on the streets and giving them the resources to get them help. In the book he has two girls living with him already, so when Lizzie comes to stay the girls are excited and as much as Lizzie tries to harden her heart against everyone, she really falls into an easy friendship with the two. They are so funny. Hope we see more of them too.

SB Alexander is one author is definitely recommend to fellow readers. Her writing is beautiful, real and it captivates you. It's easy to follow and you'll be addicted with her work.
If you haven't met the Maxwell brothers you are missing out. Make sure you grab Dare to Kiss.
