When i was first recommended this book i was unsure on what i was going to get, but the book didn't disappoint. I was fixated on the book from the very beginning.
As the book suggests Sloane is looking for only 'a plus one ' but Kat is more then he bargained for.
Kat suffers from PTSD from a traumatic attack that left he doubting her x-fiance, her own thoughts and everything else around her.
That is until she meets Sloane, he makes her feel normal, and safe. So when he propositions Kat to be his plus one, plus offering her protection and ways to fight the demons of her past emotionally and physically.
This novel had me as soon as i saw UFC fighter. who doesn't want to read about a hot, sexy built like a god man who changes everything about his life for one woman. I couldn't put this novel down. I stayed up till late hours wanting to Know the whole story but as soon as the book ended i had to buy the next in the series.
Kat's past finally catches up with her. Her X-fiance tries to twist's what Kat remembers about the night she was attacked. With feelings and emotions she had kept locked up six years with the help from Sloane helping her stronger, helping to fight back, old memories and flash backs start to surface.
Kat isn't the only one fighting demons of their past, Sloane has his own demons to fight.
With Kat needing trust between her and Sloane after years of been lied to by he x-fiance, their relationship is tested when she finds out Sloane has being keeping secrets of his own after she lay herself bare to him.
As with the first one, i couldn't stop reading this novel. The novel will effect you emotionally. Its moving how two people can over- come such a traumatic past and still find ways to move on. Although Kat is moving on- well trying- she still struggles with common day to day stuff. She becomes a fixture in Sloane's life quick even becoming close to the friend who saved Sloane when he was a teenager.
Its nice to see the different scenarios faced along with Sloane's father figure Drake who has terminal cancer.

oh my god. I don't think i could have wished for a better ending.
i was an emotional wreck to say the least. I don't want to give to much away about the plot but it is unexpected.
struggling to where your Loyalties are when its between the people you love the most are involved who would you choose ? your past ? your future ? well Sloane makes a choice that saved more then himself but saved Kat too.
The ending was so unexpected.
When i read a book - a good book - i always find myself guessing the ending and trust me this wasn't guest. I really did think it would play out differently but either way i am pleased to say i LOVED IT !!.
The book is such an emotional roller coaster. It tackles so many different emotions like PTSD, death, anger, revenge, panic, love, lust, hate, frustration, happy, blissful, sorrow, joy..... the list could go on.
My review is a 5* ~ I really do believe this book deserves this rating. The price to the books are a bargain too, so it was a win win :)
