The Hunger Games Series By Suzanne Collins

The Hunger Games Trilogy

One boy, one girl, chosen from twelve different districts are forced to battle to the death, for a live show called The Hunger Games.
In the game there is only one rule: Kill or be killed.
So when Katniss Everdeen volunteers her little sister's place as she new it was a death sentence, Katniss does the one thing she knows how to do. That is survive .....

The Hunger games was first brought to my attention as a movie. Even still watching the movie i wasn't into it, so i watched it again. I couldn't really understand why they did what they did.
As the movie intrigued me i went out and got the book, plus i wanted to know what happens with Peter and Katniss.
After reading The Hunger Games i was finally able to watch the film and go yes i know what they are on about.
Katniss is such a strong independent woman, basically head of the family, including putting food on the table.
Suzanne Collins Narrative skills were incredible, i got the full picture of everything and felt like i was right with Katniss throughout the whole journey.
The book is far from anything i have ever read before and was so pleased to say i enjoyed it, no matter how gruesome it was. Then there was the whole story, she even made it believable, that really a whole capital could control twelve districts, was thirteen to the point they have no choice but to fight off there own to be slaughter each other.
The whole book is about adventure, survival, war, and love. It also shows when you have something worth fighting for you can win.

Catching fire has me on edge literally. Who saw this coming, really, that all victors would be chosen to re-enter The Hunger Games.
Only this time there is more to the game then what meets the eye.
Katniss for one isn't the same girl that she was when she first went into the games in book one. She has her walls so far up it could save her from the capital all together.
This book was so much better than the first. Having meeting other victors and how there worlds didn't seem to change much, that Katniss really never stood a chance.
Its true, the odds are NEVER in their favor.
Suzanne Collins did wonders with this novel. She truly did understand the dynamics of the world she created and made it a master piece. There was no predicament in there, at all. I tried so hard guessing what was happening, or going to happen i gave up in the end and enjoyed the ride.
When it come to the end i never gave it a second thought till i got the third book and cancelled everything i had planned till i read Mocking-jay  which wasn't all that at the time, thank god for been ill and having the time to really enjoy the true beauty of this Trilogy.

Mocking-Jay had me in tears, i don't want to give any spoilers to the book or films because, it would totally ruin the anticipation of the books.
Mocking-Jay was filled with Loss, sorrow and new beginnings but in the end Katniss started a war we all knew, no matter who she lost on the way, she would win.

If you haven't already read the Trilogy i would advice you do because no matter how many times we watch the film and coming films, it will never be the same as the world Suzanne Collins brings us into. No actions from a film could bring the emotions that the words written do.

without a doubt 5* and i say this with true honesty, no matter your age everyone will enjoy some, if not all, of this book.
